Olaf

Olaf

Nari, whom we rescued from the street pregnant, gave birth to her 7 puppies in the PLACE for STRAYS. One of these puppies is Olaf. We nursed Nari and her puppies and the little ones developed well. After they had their first vaccination, another bitch with puppies moved in with us in the PLACE for STRAYS. Unfortunately this litter was infected with Parvo. After we found this out, the infected pups were isolated with their mom. Olaf and his brother Diego, who had already been adopted and were only waiting for their vaccinations to be completed before they could move out, were quickly given to their new families so that they would no longer be exposed to the risk of infection. Unfortunately, that didn’t help, because despite the immediate pull-out, both had already contracted the virus. While Diego had to stay in the veterinary clinic for a few days and receive intensive veterinary treatment, Olaf’s disease took a much easier course. The medication worked immediately and he recovered quickly, and Diego finally survived the disease. And of course the new families have made up for the necessary vaccinations for Diego and Olaf. Now the two little ones are well protected with their new “mums” and can look forward to a healthy and happy future.
